The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly – under the theme Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights – comes at a pivotal moment to renew global commitment to multilateralism, solidarity and shared action for people and planet.
"I was so excited to travel to New York. I have attended many events in places such as Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, Cornell Medical School and UN headquarters. I was able to attend SDG Moment 2025, where they gave an overview of our progress to the SDG goals, hearing speeches from the UN Secretary General and Deputy, Head of General Assembly, and so on." In recent years, thanks to our expansion across three continents, our students now benefit from inspirational teaching not only on campus in Penarth, but also via a pioneering “global classroom”, which facilitates supplementary teaching led by the very best teachers and subject specialists from our global schools.
Students and teachers from across Westbourne’s global schools form a powerful academic network, collaborating and working together in real time, as if in the same room.
Whether studying A-Levels or the internationally renowned IB Diploma, our Sixth Form students are supported to think and innovate globally, gaining the skills and confidence to excel in the careers of the future, on the global stage.
Congratulations, Karena, on this remarkable achievement – a true demonstration of ambition, intellectual curiosity, and entrepreneurship.
