Senior School Co-curricular – building skills and sportsmanship

The last day of this half term ended on a high with the Senior School Co-curricular football tournament for all students from Year 6 to IB2!

Students from across the Senior School were excited to develop their skills and take on their friends in a series of matches to win points for our three school houses, under the expert guidance of Head of PE, Mr Newton.

As well as being a chance to pit their skills against their friends, the tournament offered an opportunity to be coached and mentored by Mr Newton and his team, as the students fine-tuned their football skills and strategy.

Competing for house glory

A particular thank you must go to our IB students, who were instrumental in helping to organise and lead the event throughout the day.

After a number of very close and tightly fought games, with some fantastic displays of sporting ability, we are pleased to announce the house winners…..

1st: DAFYDD
2nd: LLEWELYN
3rd: GLYNDWR

Congratulations to Dafydd!

Sports plays an important part of life at Westbourne and we look forward to continuing house competitions throughout the year, culminating with Sports Day in the summer at Cardiff International Sports Stadium.
