Supporting your child to thrive
Westbourne offers regular, formal opportunities to update on your child’s academic progress and development at the school, in addition to an open door policy for all parents to contact their child’s Form Tutor at any time.
We are committed to transparent and open communications and welcome parent feedback on all school matters.
Parents’ Evenings
Parents’ Evenings for pupils from Reception to Year 6 are held twice a year, in the Autumn and Spring terms. For students in Year 7 to Year 13, Parents’ Evenings are once per year.
In addition, parents are invited to contact staff by email at any time throughout the academic year, or make an appointment for a Zoom or face to face meeting.
Reports
Teachers will provide parents with written reports and tracking information a number of times throughout the year. The primary purpose of tracking and reporting is to identify each pupil’s academic progress, and suggest ways to consolidate and improve.
Parents of Prep School pupils receive a tracker report every half term for core subjects, with a full report in the Summer Term.
Years 6 – 10 and Year 12 students have tracker reports issued every half term, with a full report at the end of the Summer Term.
Year 11 and Year 13 have tracker reports issued every half term, with two full reports at Christmas and Easter.
